Paradigm Pet Professionals
Project Website Design | 2024
Overview
This project, created as part of my UX/UI design class at college, focuses on redesigning the Pet Paradigm Professionals website to be more functional and user-centric. The goal was to improve user experience by making it easier for pet owners to navigate and access services, while also meeting the needs of stakeholders who require a platform that is both informative and engaging. With a focus on simplicity, accessibility, and responsiveness, the redesign aims to turn the website into a clean, intuitive tool for both users and the clinic itself.
Goals
The primary goal of this redesign was to create a website that’s not only visually appealing but also super easy for pet owners to use. I wanted to make sure services were easy to find, with intuitive navigation and a mobile-optimized design so users could access everything on the go. Additionally, the clinic needed a way to better engage with potential clients. So, I added a contact form on the homepage, streamlined the navigation bar, and ensured accessibility features like alt-text and screen reader compatibility to make sure the site was inclusive for everyone.
The problem
The original Pet Paradigm Professionals website was cluttered and difficult to navigate, with no clear structure for users to find what they needed. Pet owners struggled to find specific information about services, pricing, and how to book appointments. Additionally, the design didn’t cater well to mobile users, and important features, like the contact form, were either hidden or non-existent. Stakeholders also faced challenges, as the website lacked clear calls to action and didn’t effectively engage potential clients. This made it harder to build relationships and attract new business. The website simply wasn’t living up to its potential in serving both users and the clinic itself.
The solution
The solution was all about replacing outdated content with user-friendly, relevant information. Instead of just a bunch of pet pictures, the homepage now features a clear “About Us” section and a more interactive, functional design. I restructured the FAQ section into a contact form to help increase engagement, removed clutter, and revamped the navigation bar for easy access to services. Plus, I added a new page for small pet care, tailored specifically for users seeking advice on caring for their small animals, and made sure everything was mobile-responsive to cater to all types of users.
Key features
One of the key features of this redesign is the interactive services dropdown, which lets users easily explore and book services directly from the navigation bar. Each service has its own dedicated page with pricing, a detailed description, and an appointment request form, making it simple for pet owners to find exactly what they need. I also added a mobile-friendly layout to ensure the website is just as functional on a small screen, with a clear "Book a Consultation" and a revamped FAQ section that now doubles as a contact form to capture user info directly.
The Impact
This redesign made the website a lot more user-centric and engaging. Pet owners can now easily find what they need, book appointments, and get the information they’re looking for without feeling overwhelmed by clutter. The improved design also helps establish the clinic as a trustworthy, professional service provider, which is crucial for building long-term relationships with clients. By streamlining the user journey and focusing on accessibility, the site has become a more effective tool for both users and stakeholders.
